David and Jamie Proctor

Our  Trainer

David Proctor

Executive Training Director: David Proctor (SGT, Ret.), joined the U.S. Army, Infantry, in 2006 at the age of 19. In early 2007 David got news his unit would be deploying to the front lines in Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). David was deployed as 11B with his unit to Iraq. During this tour David was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Thomas (Tom) M. Daschbach

Tom Daschbach is the founder and President & CEO of TD Support Services Corporation. The company has been in business for over 15 years and is a VA Certified disabled veteran-owned small business headquartered in Colorado Springs. It currently employs over 350 people in eleven different states, Germany and England.

Thomas N. Duening, PhD

Thomas Duening is the El Pomar Chair of Business & Entrepreneurship and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Management Department in the UCCS College of Business. Dr. Duening earned his MA and PhD degrees from the University of Minnesota. He was previously the Director of the Entrepreneurial Programs Office in the Ira A Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University. 

Shane Sherman, MBA

Shane Sherman is an Instructor of Leadership and Management at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS).  In this role, he teaches Leadership and Management in Changing Times as a core course in the MBA program.

Steve Schuck

Steve Schuck’s career resume reads more like an adventure, a mission to succeed and to lead. It began with an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, he became a math teacher and head football coach at Manlius, prep school for West Point. After two years in New York City, he and his wife, Joyce, a published author, headed west. They have three children, six granddaughters, two grandsons and three great granddaughters.

Supporting veterans and service members in regaining their independence and reintegrating into society with the assistance of a service animal.

Mission

Guardian Service Dogs is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to making Service Animals more accessible to Veterans, Service Members and others in need by providing quality Individualized Service Animal Training and assistive/adaptive equipment to individuals with disabilities, service animal research and training development, as well as serving the community by promoting education and awareness of Service Animals in accordance with the ADA.
